While your instinct may be to adopt a low-carb diet, it doesn’t fix the fat loss completely. To make the abs surface, you’re going to need to diet. At 10% body fat, those shy little rolls will likely start to surface. At 7% body fat they’ll be totally naked and exposed for all of the world to see.

Going back to my low carb diet comment… A chronic low carb diet leaves your muscle building capabilities minimal. What you need to do instead is the following:

At the start of a meal, eat some protein and fat before you touch your carbs. According to research, this leads to significantly lowering your blood sugars.

Take high-quality fish oil everyday. Fish oils combined with exercise reduces blood sugar levels.

By optimizing insulin sensitivity, the body will burn fat more efficiently.

As with any muscle, the abs need to worked with various exercises and rep ranges and allow proper rest between workouts.
