WOD#2 Explosive Leg Day

In this workout, you will be working towards building EXPLOSIVE Legs. I catered this workout to incorporate heavy lifting but also add in Plyo training. Hope you give it a shot!

Walking DB Lunges (Heavy)
3x 8 reps each leg

Circuit #1
Glute Bridge Machine
5x 8-10 reps (contract and hold at the top for 3 seconds)
(NO REST)
Single Leg Plyo Box Jumps
5X 5 reps each leg

Circuit #2
Leg Curls
5x 12-15 reps
(NO REST)
Leg Extensions
5x 12-15 reps

End-> Calves Machine
6x 12-15 reps

This workout will build strength and enhance those fast-twitched muscles in the legs. Honestly, who wants to look huge and not be athletic? People aren’t impressed by bulky, no striation physiques. You will find it much more rewarding to do exercises that work on your athleticism, you want to feel like an athlete. This workout will be stepping stones for you and your knowledge on how to workout as an athlete, not as your basic bodybuilder. Be an athlete, not a bulky bum.
